This page lists all available missions in the current version of the game. For all missions of the old game, they are listed here: Missions/old.
Missions were added with the Utopia HQ building with the 1.3 update. They have a number of functions and require a wide variety of resources and skills to complete. Possibly the most exciting addition are the missions that open up new special genes for the creation of new Professions and therefore new buildings. There are three types of missions: Special missions, Chroma missions and Deep Sea (bonus) missions.
The missions at the Utopia HQ are listed in 3 rows of 2 missions each. The top row is always for missions that gift a new gene as a reward while the lower 2 rows (lower 4 slots) are a random mix, therefore you can only have 2 special gene missions at any one time. The top row contains missions that can only be completed once. All of the other missions can be completed as many times as you desire.
NOTE: In the 1.80 & 1.90 update there were added a few missions that cannot be completed at the Utopia HQ. In the history of Pixel People, these 17 missions have been placed at various buildings, but can now (only) be completed at the Port Authority building. These bonus missions are called 'Deep Sea Expeditions' and the Port Authority "is the headquarters to coordinate a deep sea search for Wondrous secrets."
Mission Requirements[]

All missions have 9 slots. Not all missions require all slots, then some of the slots are crossed out, like in the Happy Three Friends mission. A slot can request either of the following:
- a profession (e.g. Police Officer)
- a specific animal (e.g. Calico)
- any animal of a specific species (e.g. any Dog)
- any animal with a specific trait (e.g. any Strong animal)
- any amount of Coins
- any required coins per second (cps) production
- any amount of Chroma
- any required Land Use
- any amount of Utopium
Note: in the case of a required animal, the animal will be taken away. So if you have for example three Dragons and you complete a mission using a dragon, then after completing the mission you will have only 2 dragons left!
The color of a filled in profession, so after you spliced the mission clone, indicates its category color. In the case of an animal, the color indicates its rarity (tier 1 is blue, tier 2 is yellow-ish, tier 3 is green, etc.) Note that the higher the tier, the more animals are needed to splice it! (read more about that at the Altar page).
In the case one or more slots require a specific amount of coins, the actual amount is only dependent on your Expansion level. The higher your level, the higher the coin cost.
In the case of any required amount of cps or land use, the requested amount is highly dependent on the stats of your city at the time the mission appeared in the Utopia HQ. The moment a mission appears is when you either perform a manual refresh yourself or when an automatic refresh happens because you completed another mission. Land use tends to request up to 4 more land use than at the time the mission appeared, while cps tends to request up to 15 cps higher cps production.
Special Missions[]
Most Special genes have to be unlocked by completing a specific mission in the Utopia HQ. These missions will always appear in one of the two upper slots. If one of these upper two slots is refreshed, a random mission from the list below will be drawn. Note that the active Season supersedes the 'randomness' by prioritizing missions specific to that Season. With other words,

Chroma Missions[]
The remastered version of the game introduced Chroma to the game. The primary way to obtain this in-game currency is by completing special missions at the Utopia HQ that reward Chroma. Various missions reward either 40, 100 or 200 Chroma. Below is a list of known missions that can appear, but you might encounter other ones!
Note that land use, coins and cps requirements depend on (respectively) your current Land Use, your current Level and your current Maximum Coins Per Second (cps) rating.
Deep Sea Missions[]
The Port Authority building has the special ability that it can send clones and animals on deep sea missions. These 17 extra missions are a huge deal harder than any other mission available at the Utopia HQ. These generally require ridiculous amounts of Coins, Chroma or multiple end-game Tier 6 animals.
These missions reward 9 unique building parts that form together the First Wonder, 4 additional missions that reward four parts of the Second Wonder and finally 4 missions to form the Third Wonder.
First Wonder[]
When completed, the First Wonder rewards the player with the ability to collect Hearts without entering the residential building and needing to 'pump' the heart. The Deep Sea Expeditions require the following:
Second Wonder[]
Upon building the final part, the Second Wonder rewards you an additional 100 Spirit.

Third Wonder[]
When finishing the Third Wonder, your daily Utopium harvest limit is doubled during the Thaw Season.
